Headed to Whistler

Good morning! I’m currently en route to Whistler with my little family for a much-needed vacation. Five years ago, Brian and I ventured there as newlyweds for our honeymoon, and it feels full circle going back now with our little guy.

While I’m away, I’m going to keep the blog silent. I considered scheduling a ton of posts to go up while I’m gone, but then I realized that it was time to just say no and allow myself a full, real break. After all, what’s the good in being your own boss if you can’t make the rules? Thus, I’ll be taking the week off from posting here on the blog, and instead will be updating my Instagram (@natalieborton) and Snapchat (natalie.borton) to share about my trip as it’s happening.

Follow along for a peek into the beautiful snowy getaway that is Whistler! And if you’ve been there with kids before, please leave activity suggestions below in the comments—we need ideas :)

You will love Whistler. Try and sneak away to Scandinave Spa. If you haven’t booked accomodations yet or are flexible, try to stay a night at Nita Lake Lodge. On the way, try the Gondola at Squamish – there’s a cool suspension bridge at the top! Bar Oso and Araxi for food is a must. Make sure to get Beaver Tails and Cows Icecream! I’ve heard the Village offer’s childcare if you want some couples time only! Have the best time!

Try the Great Glass Elevator Candy Shop and the Green Moustache – a cute whole food restaurant with an awesome boutique shop called ‘3 Singing Birds’ attached.

Where did you stay? We have a daughter that is the same age as Jack, so we are looking for family friendly places to stay.
