One fun fact about my husband, Brian: he loves a good deal. I always laugh when we’re about to buy something for the house online and he asks, “Did you check online for promo codes?” It happens every time, and though I laugh about it and tease him, I guarantee he’s saved our family thousands of dollars because of that diligence. I mean, really, it takes less than a minute to see if there’s a coupon code and then boom—you saved money!
…which brings me to today’s budget tip. Have you guys ever heard of RetailMeNot? In all of my years of coupon-code-searching, I find most of the codes I end up using are from this site. Though Google does make it pretty easy to find whatever you’re searching for, I love that RetailMeNot is this online hub of deals and coupon codes. If you’re someone who loves a good deal (like my beloved hubby), it’s definitely a site you need to bookmark before you start all of your fall and holiday shopping.
Here are a few ways to quickly save on your fall shopping using their site…
Never Pay for Shipping // Yep, there’s a whole page dedicated to all of the places you can get free shipping right now. Which is my favorite, because I hate paying for shipping.
Check Current Product Deals // Stores are constantly having sales throughout the week—but it’s hard to keep track of them all individually. The product deals page is basically one big compilation of deals going on at stores all over the web, and you can click through to the site to shop—no coupons needed.
When in Doubt, Search for a Promo Code // Since I tend to have my heart set on specific items, I don’t usually start shopping by searching for deals, but rather the other way around—I find something I like, and pray there’s a promo code out there. As you find items you love this season, you can easily do a search for the brand you’re about to buy from to check if you can get a deal on what you’ve already fallen in love with.
Also, if fall shopping isn’t your thing I just discovered that they also have an app that you can use to help you get deals when you’re out and about shopping at stores. Pretty great!
