Minimalist Beauty: Fast Curling Wand Waves

Rather than waste time on blowdrying my hair, for the past several years I’ve opted to air dry. Often times I leave it as-is, but some days when I feel like I want a bit more of a polished look, the curling wand is my go-to tool. I consider it minimalist for two reasons: 1) You can air dry your hair, which is simple and saves time, and 2) it only requires one tool, which is inexpensive and easy to store/travel with.

The truth is, it’s super easy to do—just wrap your hair around the wand while it’s downward facing and leave the ends out for an undone-yet-polished look. This video shows you how to do fast curling wand curls that are slightly imperfect and give you natural (but put-together) looking waves.

Natalie, do you use a ‘heat protecting’ product when using a curling iron/ wand on your hair?

What are your current favorite hair products (shampoo, conditioner, whatever you use currently). I want to try the curling wand. I have totally embraced the overnight air drying since having kids… that and only washing sparingly :)
