Happy Weekend: 10 Links I Love

Hooray for a long weekend! Any exciting plans? We originally were going to meet my parents for lunch about an hour away from our house, but since Jack’s sleep has been all over the place, we decided to take a rain check in order to prioritize his naps. I’m learning lately that while it stinks to miss out on social things, I’ll be thankful in the long run once Jack has learned how to nap well and sleep through the night and has a predictable schedule we can plan around.

Some fun plans on our agenda? A Saturday morning walk with some girlfrinds, my first pedicure since having Jack, and Lobster rolls with our dear neighbors.

Now, for some favorite links this week…

I have to come to the same realization (about honoring baby nap times) lately. You’ve mentioned that you read different sleep advice. What sleep method -if any- are you using?

Yes! Gotta make sure baby sleeps :) I definitely lean more toward the attachment parenting side of things, and while I take everything with a grain of salt, the two books on sleep I’ve enjoyed the most are The Happy Sleeper and The Baby Sleep Book. Ultimately I’m not following any real method, but observing Jack’s natural cues and establishing routines based on that. So far it seems to be working for the most part!

Of course! It’s very quick and simple—L’Oreal Youth Code Day Cream as a moisturizer, Origins GinZing eye cream for my tired mama eyes, E.L.F. bronzer to help me look alive, Sonia Kashuk Highlighter Stick on my cheekbones, Sonia Kashuk brow pencil & tinted gel for my brows, and L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Excess mascara on my lashes ;)
