I’m going to get real with you for a minute: I feel pretty exhausted. From working to taking care of Maggie to keeping up with house chores to spending quality time with Brian and friends, I feel like there isn’t enough time in the day—and that the extra time I do have is not spent well.
I’ve spent quite a bit of time journaling these past several weeks in order to reflect on what I really want out of life. And then I read Shauna Niequist’s blog post about figuring out how to do what needs to get done in our own way rather than doing life the way other people are doing it. Combine that with losing Mormor last week, and you can imagine that I’m feeling like some changes need to be made in order to live my life to the fullest.
All in all, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m lacking in energy overall, and that I’m lacking in delight and a good dose of leisure each day. Perhaps the best word for it is weary. While some people might be okay with feeling this way for a little while, I just can’t let it keep happening—life is too short. Thus, for the month of March I’m going to implement some changes in hopes of promoting some additional energy flow—and I’d love for you to join with me if you can relate to how I’m feeling!
Since today is the first day of March and I’m just now telling you about this, we’ll get things started tomorrow and strive to do the following for the upcoming 30 days…
>> get enough sleep
>> do some kind of exercise
>> ditch added sugars
>> spend 20 minutes outside
