summer hair.

As previously mentioned in my maxi dress post, summer has certainly arrived in Texas. And with that in mind, I’ve moved on from finding just the right kind of clothes to wear (i.e. loose, breezy dresses that do not cling to my overheated body) and am now thinking about hair. Though the heat is not my friend, I can’t help but adore the minimal makeup and playful strands that come with the season. These are some of my favorite hot-weather hair styles that are both practical and pretty:

My go-to summer hairstyle is either down with loose waves or a side bun! Both very easy and very pretty. :)

Two excellent choices :) I’m with you on the loose waves–that’s for sure my everyday style. Otherwise, I tend to go with the top knot (though I’m yet to try the braid with it–perhaps today is the day!!).

I’ve been rocking a top knot a lot lately. It’s just easy to do, looks really cute and it can hide that my hair is dirty. Ha! I also love doing pony tails and adding a small braid from my bangs to where the tail gathers. It just adds a little extra boho to it. :) I have a feeling I’ll be trying some more braid and bun combos this year!

Oh yes, braided bangs are such an ideal summer hair option! Bangs + sweat do not play well together.
