These jeans and this sweater? Totally normal daily outfit. But add some faux fur? It’s instantly festive and cozy and luxe. It wears like a scarf (and even has a secret slit in one end so you can easily tuck it), but it doesn’t have the bulk of a coat or even a vest. I love that it can be worn with anything and even makes my basic camel winter coat look like it got an upgrade if I layer it over it. Also, it’s super soft, which I didn’t imagine because it’s really not very expensive. This is a no-brainer, people. You need it. Also notable: this new necklace that just landed in the shop! It’s called The Paige Tassel Necklace and it features a mix of wood and bone beads and a gold coned-topped black tassel. It’s a neutral, versatile, slightly bohemian piece that adds a chic detail to anything in your wardrobe. Tue, 13 Dec 2016 17:06:15 +0000 Madewell flannel (c/o), Madewell jeans (c/o), Madewell boots, Natalie Borton necklace  This is an easy go-to cold weather look that is both festive and mom-friendly. Although Madewell has a ton of beautiful flannel shirts right now, I was so drawn to this white windowpane one! It just feels different than the usual flannel or plaid and since it’s neutral it doesn’t scream holidays so I can wear it as long as there’s a little chill in the air. These jeans are my newest pair and they have a high rise (my favorite) that holds everything in real nicely ;) I noticed that this style—which has a ton of stretch and is made with Tencel—has a skinnier ankle opening than my other Madewell jeans and I really love that. For my final touches, I wore my trusty suede Billie Boots and of course one of my own necklaces, The Sadie Necklace in Black. I love how it pops against the white top! OUTFIT DETAILS Madewell flannel (c/o), Madewell jeans (c/o), Madewell boots, Natalie Borton necklace P.S. I have a little invitation for all of you in Southern California: I’m having a holiday pop-up shop at Madewell at The Carlsbad Forum on Saturday […]]]> 0 Bell Sleeves Sun, 04 Dec 2016 21:11:57 +0000 Madewell top (similar), American Eagle shorts (similar), Madewell bag, Sam Edelman sandals, RAEN sunglasses (c/o DITTO—get a free month with the code DITTONATALIE), Natalie Borton necklace When the weather is still fairly toasty around the holidays, you have to get a little creative with style. Rather than default to my summer clothes (which obviously feel seasonally inappropriate despite the temperatures), I like to modify my outfits to work for the weather but still have a fall feel to them. Thus, I give you bell sleeves + boyfriend shorts. The fancier top makes my typically summer-worthy shorts a little more fall and winter friendly for anyone who lives in a warmer climate like me that refuses to get chilly. This top is sadly sold out, but I’ve linked to a similar one below. As far as the necklace goes, it’s the newest tassel necklace in my shop and it’s called the Penelope Tassel Necklace. The tassel itself is a warm winter ecru shade, and it features a gorgeous triangular bead made of tiger ebony wood. Thu, 10 Nov 2016 22:25:45 +0000 Apologies for the light week of content—between the election and the upcoming holidays, blogging got shoved to the bottom of the list in favor of preparation for a major product launch. Which brings me to today! Yesterday is the first day I’ve seen a gift guide on a blog and it totally freaked me out and made me realize that CHRISTMAS IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER!!! I normally only release one piece at a time, every 1-3 weeks, but with gift-giving season upon us I wanted to make sure you all had plenty of variety to choose from. Although I still will be launching more products before the end of the Christmas season, here are all of the new items you can shop in the store right now… Now Available THE BRYNN NECKLACE This minimalist, modern piece is made of a gorgeous stone with grey marbling. Available in a large 40mm size, or a smaller 30mm size, each Brynn Necklace will vary slightly since stone is a natural product. It isn’t a color I’m normally drawn to, but lately I’m absolutely swooning over that almost nude tone that I like to call blush. It all started with a custom piece I designed for a friend’s mom, which included a soft pink stone and I loved it so much I started dreaming about ways to incorporate it into more of my pieces. The thing about this shade is, it’s so soft and desaturated it reads as a neutral. After a little bit of brainstorming and shopping, I decided to add this tone into my collection as a new version of the Amelia Tassel Necklace. The soft pink hue pairs so well with the naturally shed elk antler bead and has an airy, feminine feel to it. I hope you love it as much as I do! Not only is it the first navy blue tassel I’ve done, it’s also definitely the most luxe tassel necklace I’ve made so far. It features an elk antler bead (naturally shed, of course!) that has the most gorgeous tan and grey and ivory hues. I’m already dreaming up other tassel colors that would look good with the antler and praying my supplier has more available. This is one of the first truly fall outfits I’ve worn this season and it has me feeling excited for cooler temperatures. We’ve had really chilly mornings and evenings lately and it’s giving me hope!! The sweater and pants are old, but I’ve linked to similar items below. Also…I think I’m cutting my hair tonight!!! As much as I love the outfit, seeing how unhealthy the ends of my hair looks in these photos confirms that I need a change. Wish me luck ;) OUTFIT DETAILS Natalie Borton necklace, Madewell sweater (similar), J.Crew pants (similar), Warby Parker sunglasses, Mossimo shoes, Madewell bag (c/o)]]> 0 A Giveaway with Emily Ley Mon, 03 Oct 2016 19:15:24 +0000 Today I am so honored to be sharing over on Emily Ley’s blog as part of her Simplicity Series, AND partnering with her for a giveaway!
