My Beauty Favorites | March 2017

I absolutely love finding and trying new products, and even more so, I love sharing about them! Some of these won’t be new to you, as I’ve definitely shared a few of them before. Others are newer finds that I’m feeling excited about and really enjoying. These are the skin, hair and makeup products I can’t get enough of lately…

Glossier Boy Brow, $16
This is a forever favorite because it’s really just the best product I own! I’ve been hooked since the moment I tried it and recommend it to everyone. Even with my microbladed brows now, I wear it in brown, and for friends with naturally amazing brows looking to groom rather than add tint/fullness, the new clear version is perfect.

Beautycounter Cleansing Balm, $80
Much like Boy Brow, this is another miracle product that I’ve become a fast fan of. When I first got it, I’d use it to remove my makeup, but lately I use it as an ultra-moisturizing overnight mask. The price tag of this may be scary, but it really does last so long because a little goes a long way!

Beautycounter Dew Skin, $45
Now that it’s warming up and I’m spending a lot more time out in the sun with Jack, I’ve started to wear Dew Skin on my face to ensure some SPF coverage. It smells amazing and doesn’t look or feel like sunscreen. One thing of note: my friends with more oily skin do find it a bit “greasy” feeling, but as someone with dry skin, I add a drop of oil to it to boost the dewiness.

Stranded Hair Powder in Brunette, $26
I try not to use dry shampoo because I know in excess it can be damaging to new hair growth, but this hair powder is the perfect thing for “holding me over” when I’m due for a shower and a hat isn’t working with my outfit. I really love that it’s safe and natural (dye-, sulfate-, paraben- and gluten-free) and that it comes in different colors to match your roots.

Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich, $35
This luxurious cream is usually what I put on right after I get up in the morning. I love the way it feels on my face and how it reduces redness and improves skin tone before I even put makeup on.

Alterna CC Cream 10-in-1, $25
I’ve been using this to strengthen my hair and combat dryness from highlighting it over the years. It has the most amazing smell and really does soften my hair so much! I put it on when my hair is damp usually, but also sometimes run a little through the ends on second or third day hair when they need a little styling help.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Water, $16.90
No matter how many cleansers I try, micellar water is my favorite way to clean my face and wash off makeup. There are a variety of them out there, but this brand is my favorite.

Bobbi Brown Eye Opening Mascara, $30
This is a newer find for me that I’ve been pleasantly surprised by. My issue with mascara is usually that it ends up under my eyes, but this really does stay put! The carbon black color makes my eyes pop, and I’m even able to put a little on my lower lashes without transfer happening. Despite its staying power, it actually is really easy to remove, too, so it’s a keeper for me!

Natalie, I’m super interested in trying out the Stranded dry shampoo powder. Does it feel sticky or gunky (vs. soft like baby powder) at all on your fingers or hair after you apply? I’ve used similar powders before that I couldn’t stand to touch after my first application. Would love to hear your thoughts!

It’s a lot like a tinted baby powder and I don’t think it feels sticky or gunky, though I never use it multiple days in a row. I often just use it on the last dirty hair day before I wash it!

I just started using Beautycounter and I’m loving their stuff. I also bought the Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo and I’m loving it- it works better than any other I’ve tried!
