Jersey Tank Dress

Madewell dress, Madewell shoes (c/o), Hobo bag (c/o), Natalie Borton necklace

Here in San Diego, October is actually the warmest month of the year. It breaks my heart a little, because I’m always eager to dress in real fall clothing, but I’m learning to embrace real fall vs. fantasy fall and this was the weather-appropriate outfit I wore over the weekend for a birthday shopping date with my mom.

This dress—like many I’ve started to feature recently—is one I normally wouldn’t pick, but I’m being drawn more and more to midi length dresses and skirts and I love the way it fits just right in all the right places. The side slits also make it feel more modern and not overly-conservative. As the weather cools, I plan to throw on a sweater and tan ankle boots to keep it in the rotation.

As far as the shoes go, I highly recommend them. They’ve become my go-to heels for the summer and these warm fall days! They also happen to be pretty perfect for date nights.

P.S. More about the backstory on that latte in my hand.

Hey Natalie! Love the outfit! How is the sizing on the dress? I don’t want it to look like a body con dress on me! I’m ordering online so any info would be helpful!

Did you have yours hemmed at all? It looks SO long in the stock photo. I also wanted to say, this is adorable on you! Madewell should post your picture on their page, you sell it. Any help with sizing? did you go for your normal size, up or down? Thanks!!
