When I think Zappos, I usually think shoes. And that was pretty much the case until earlier this month when I was given an opportunity to partner with them via Shopstyle Collective realized they are a full-blown fashion site with a huge selection of pretty much everything, as well as that fast shipping and 365-day return policy they’ve always had. How did I miss that?!
When choosing a head-to-toe look to share here, I quickly realized that I had a lot of choices. Thus, I sat down and thought about what types of things I was looking for exactly and narrowed my focus to easy-to-search categories: a black maxi, a neutral bag, ankle-tie sandals and a minimalist watch. Once I nailed down my favorites, I added them to my cart, checked out and 2 days later my items were on my doorstep. Online shopping can be so dangerous. In a good way :)
Though maxi dresses remind me a lot of my pregnancy since I wore them nonstop, this one felt fresh thanks to the loose upper and fitted bottom part. Plus, the angled slit adds a lot of visual interest. Since I’m a minimalist, I opted for really simple, classic accessories. The Vince Camuto bag is an investment piece that elevates the look and could be worn for years to come with pretty much anything and everything. For shoes, I’m still very into the lace-up look and thought a gladiator-style sandal featuring an ankle tie would keep this outfit casual and chic. Lastly, the jewelry—the necklace is one I made myself, and I think it’s pretty perfect with this black dress! But the watch is the watch of my minimalist dreams and I really love how this outfit feels with it being the only “jewelry” accessory, so I showed you both ways.
