It occurred to me after posting about my dermatologist’s dietary recommendations for my acne and eczema yesterday that some of you might be on a similar path or have some of the same dietary restrictions for other reasons. And this post is for you! Below are the recipes I’ve shared on this blog in the past that fit the bill of being flour-free, dairy-free and free of refined sugars. Also, I’ve included links to my favorite healthy recipe sites (which I know I’ll be using a lot more often now that takeout will prove to be more challenging)…
Cashew Thai Quinoa Salad With Ginger Peanut Dressing
Asian Style Spring Vegetable Soup
Easy Homemade Vegan Soft Serve
Now, as far as resources go, here are my favorite websites for finding healthy recipes if you have dietary restrictions (of any kind!):
A Couple Cooks: A blog by a husband and wife team focused on healthy, “real food” recipes and integrating cooking into everyday life.
Oh She Glows: If you want less meat and dairy in your life, this plant-based blog is right up your alley. Many of Angela’s recipes are not only vegan, but also free of gluten, soy and processed foods.
Love & Lemons: Simple, seasonal and beautifully photographed recipes made with love in Austin, Texas. We dare you to go to this blog and not want to make everything.
Scaling Back: Healthy, seasonal recipes that feature whole foods that are locally sourced.
Naturally Ella: A food blog focused on seasonal vegetarian recipes that are pantry-inspired, simple, fresh and exciting for the whole family.
101 Cookbooks: A recipe journal featuring natural, whole foods and ingredients.
Cookie + Kate: A blog about celebrating good, real, sustainable food that delights the senses and nourishes the body.
Whole Foods Recipes: If you’ve ever gone into Whole Foods and wished their prepared foods section was your kitchen, you’ll love the recipe section of their website! The advance search function makes it easy to find exactly what kind of healthy recipe you’re looking for.
Hope this was helpful! Wishing you luck with navigating your dietary restrictions ;)

February 24, 2016 at 9:28 amLove these recommendations! It can be overwhelming and unhelpful to just google “healthy blogs” because there are SO many – and many aren’t quality. I love getting recommendations from trusted sources like you!

February 24, 2016 at 1:34 pmGreat resources! Thanks for sharing! Food can be such a huge contributor to so many issues. Glad you are hopefully figuring it out. Have you ever tried using a high quality (like young living) frankincense oil mix into your coconut oil?

February 26, 2016 at 11:02 amThanks for the resources – and that veggie soup looks amazing. We’ve been gluten free a while now, but always looking for new finds. In addition to making sure what goes into your body is clean, make sure you’re using environmentally friendly cleaning products so you’re not exposing your skin and lungs to chemicals that will exacerbate your eczema.
