It’s that time of year when I find myself perusing websites for Christmas card ideas. Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching and unless I want to send out a New Year’s Card (I’ve admittedly done it before when time has gotten away from me), now is the time to both snap our family photo and pick out the card we’ll send to our loved ones.
For the past several years I’ve partnered with Minted to share some of my favorites. This year, I’m not only sharing my picks, but also giving three of you a chance to win a $100 gift card towards purchases on thier site. Yay! (Scroll to the bottom to enter to win.)
For our cards this year, I’m totally feeling their gold foil designs (which happen to be 20% off through November 16th, including cards and art, with the code FOIL). Though we haven’t snapped the photo we’ll be using for our cards yet, I had fun playing around with their “personalize” feature and popped in some photos from our summer family photo shoot into several designs to show off my favorites…
Gosh, it’s going to be so hard to pick! I have to say, I am not usually one for black and white photos, but I really love how they look against the white and gold cards. Perhaps I’ll have to put our official family photo in black and white to get the same effect.

Last night I told my husband I’m inspired to send “thank you” cards for Thanksgiving in lieu of our traditional Christmas cards to thank our friends and family for all they do for us… then I looked at Mint.com and got the side-eye when he saw the prices. It’s what we spend every year, but I think once he saw these, he would understand the investment in sending our love is totally worth it!
