8 In life

July Edit

At Glitter Guide I love the way Taylor and Caitlin share their current favorite things in the monthly edit posts, so I thought I’d do the same here! Hope you like it :)

Timepage App // I always want to love paper planners, and I usually am pretty good at using them when I first buy them. But after a month or two they sort of disappear into a pile of papers and I never find them again. I’ve finally admitted to myself that I am a digital calendar girl, and this app is perfect for minimalists like me who appreciate good design and an app that is logical to use.

Starbucks Iced Coffee // My new afternoon vice! It pains me to say this because I sort of hate Starbucks usually, but I prefer their version to all of the trendy cold brews out there. It just tastes better to me! If only it also came in decaf…

Billie Blooms // Is there anything cuter than a chunky baby in short shorts? I think not. They are absolutely gender neutral and I am LOVING these for Jack right now. The key with bloomers for boys? Choose a boyish color or print (like denim) and put them in otherwise very masculine clothing.

Sonnet James Piper Dress // Soft, stretchy, comfy, modest. I am pretty obsessed with Sonnet James at the moment. Their Piper Dress is currently hanging in my closet, and I plan to add a few more pieces to my collection this fall when they release new designs. Two of my other currently available favorites? The Reese Dress in grey and the Quincy Dress in black.

Tresemme Wave Creation Seafoam // This is a new discovery of mine and I’m pretty hooked. It’s an easy way to add volume and boost natural waves when time is short or it’s too hot to style your hair. It also can serve to create good texture in preparation for a messy ponytail or undo.

J.Crew Chambray // A timeless classic that is perfect for pretty much any occasion. It’s one of my year-round must-have items. It goes with everything, but feels especially summery paired with white denim or a pair of your favorite shorts.

Do you like using the Timepage app over the native iCal calendar app? I have tried SO many calendar apps that I am weary to try another one. I was liking the Sunrise app for a while, but I kept going back to iCal eventually. I love the design of this one though…decisions, decisions. :)

Yes! I think it’s SO MUCH better—much more logical and easier to use. Worth the $4.99 for sure.

Trader joes has something like the Starbucks iced coffee concentrate. Might be worth checking out. I’m a tea girl so I haven’t tried it but I’ve heard good things

That’s what I was using last summer but sadly I think the Starbucks one tastes better, at least with almond milk. I wanted so badly to prefer the Trader Joe’s one!

Oooh, I love this new series! Also, those baby bloomers are too stinkin’ cute and hooray for their free shipping!

Hey Natalie. What size did you get for the chambray shirt? Thanks!
