As you all know, I’m majorly obsessed with J.Crew. So of course, last night I attended the J.Crew Style Sessions event at my local store. Admittedly, when I arrived I was surprised that not many people were there—I pretty much was the only person in the store, and the girl who greeted me didn’t even tell me about the event until I mentioned that it was the reason I was there. I definitely thought about leaving after doing a quick wander around the shop, but then decided that I needed to follow through on my mission: try on the new fall line!
Once I committed to staying, more people started showing up and I got to chatting with a few of the store’s “very personal stylists,” all who were super nice and helpful. They asked me about the items I usually go for, what my sizes were, etc, and then they filled my room to the brim with new styles that were a bit out of my comfort zone (in a good way). Of everything I ended up liking, there was only two items that I would’ve picked out for myself. Major props to them for helping me try new things!
Overall, the fall line is superb and there are so many interesting pieces in beautiful colors and patterns. One thing I noticed: TONS of new pants. Also, lots of camo, leather and sparkly details throughout the collection. These were my favorite items from the night…
>> Boy shirt in beaded chambray
>> Merino pocket tunic
>> Minnie pant in bi-stretch wool
>> Minnie pant in bi-stretch wool, 29″ inseam
>> Excursion quilted vest in stripe (not shown below, but awesome with the chambray top)
>> Crepe cap-sleeve dress
>> Aggie suede ankle boots
And here are the outfits I put together from the pieces above that I loved…
Which J.Crew fall pieces are you loving? What’s on your wish list?
