I recently discovered a series by photographer Tom Hussey called reflections, which portrays elderly people looking into the mirror at their younger selves. The images are so thought-provoking, especially to those of us who are young. I can’t help but wonder what it will be like to be elderly, looking back on my life and remembering the woman I once was…
Though I’m admittedly overly self-aware, this makes me want to spend a bit of time thinking and journaling about how the way I spend my time—and the relationships I’m choosing to invest in—will impact my future. When I’m older, what do I want to see when I look into the mirror of my past? It’s something to ponder for sure.
What’s your reaction to this series? How does it impact your view of who you are and where you’re going in your life?
