edukate: buy a tote, educate a girl

February 20, 2013

Research has shown that when women are educated, they are able to break the poverty cycle in their families for generations to come. That’s why, after an 80-day trip around the world, Allison Grenney founded EduKate, a company that sells Colorado-made tote bags in order to support secondary education for girls in areas of need. Today they are supporting education for 200 7th-12th grade girls in Guatemala—and you can help them support even more girls through the purchase of one of their adorable tote bags.

How does it all work? The formula is simple…

Cute totes that help educate women? Now that’s something I can get on board with! That’s why I’m so excited to have EduKate as a sponsor this month. Check out more of the beautiful (and functional) bags below, and feel free to treat yourself to one—after all, it’s for a good cause :)
