There’s nothing I’m tempted toward quite like perfection—the perfect day, the perfect meal, the perfect latte, the perfect outfit, you name it. I’m an all-or-nothing girl, not just because I like to be extreme, but rather because I like to fit things in nice little categories. My day is usually great or terrible—rarely somewhere in the middle.
Though I know this is a tendency of mine, it’s something I’m working on and hoping to remedy. I never plan to be a neutral person (it really wouldn’t suit me well) but I do hope to be one who focuses more on the journey—the progress being made—rather than the final outcome, be it “perfect” or a total disaster.
Are you a perfectionist? How do you find balance/combat that way of thinking when it becomes a negative thing?
