Last week was a long week—a business trip to New York for Brian and therefore solo parenting for me—and we were so grateful to all be together enjoying some sunshine and family time with my parents this past weekend. Of course it was also the perfect opportunity for me to test out my brand new black KARA swimsuit I ordered from Raising Wild, which arrived just in time for the trip.

I first discovered Raising Wild last year when they sent me their gorgeous black onyx H-style swimsuit, which is now called VANESSA. After wearing that suit and loving it, I’ve been thinking about another style and when I saw the KARA I knew I had to get it for myself. Much like the VANESSA, my KARA suit is a mix of black fabrics that includes a faux leather element. The KARA also has a zipper, making it sporty and sexy (and also nursing-friendly for any of you mamas out there still breastfeeding!).

It’s comfortable, mom-friendly, and makes my legs look a mile long. While it’s not summer, it’s pretty much always swimsuit season here in San Diego, and I thought those of you planning to take some winter vacations to warmer places might appreciate a good recommendation.

P.S. Did you catch the Raising Wild gals on Shark Tank?! Loved their episode! #RWSfam
