I feel so silly that it has taken me this long to do a much-requested house tour. In all honesty, we are currently in escrow on a new home (only a few miles away!) and I snagged these photos from our realtor to have as a special memory of our first home. Better late than never, right? I promise to do a house tour of the new place soon, but until we actually live there, here’s what our current space is like…
The downstairs is an L-shaped room, with the living room area being near the front door, Jack’s play area in the middle where those poufs are (there normally is a rug and bins of toys there, but we moved them to sell the house), and then the dining area. The L-shape ends with a kitchen with a door out to the backyard.
This West Elm light fixture is EVERYTHING. I cannot believe we waited so long to order and install it. Since it can be seen from the front door, this space definitely needed a statement light fixture. I think it really makes the room!
I love Jack’s little nursery so much—this is probably the room I’ll miss the most! So many nursing sessions in that IKEA chair, and so many newborn memories made here. Thankfully my friend Chrissy took tons of photos of it right after Jack was born for my Glitter Guide feature, so I’ll have those to put in his baby book and help me always remember.
Hope you enjoyed getting a peek finally! And like I said, I promise not to wait FOUR YEARS to do a house tour of our new place. It’s so, so dreamy undecorated so it shouldn’t be too difficult to get it photo-ready ;)
