Hi friends! It’s Conni again, stylist over at Art in the Find, back with a fun summer style update for you! This time, we’re talking all about comfortable summer style. One of the things I love so much about summer is that the styles become less complicated, more relaxed, and just all around casual. Which is just fine with me when you consider that summer should be filled with vacations, beach days, and BBQ dinners.
There are a lot of relaxing styles out there for summer but one of my personal favorites remains to be, the maxi dress. There is something so whimsically comfortable about a dress that needs not a lot of fuss, yet looks so pulled together, don’t you think? I imagine that we ladies all have one of these darlings floating around in our closet. If you do, it’s the perfect time to pull it out. And if you don’t, summer is beckoning and your next purchase just might have to be the summer maxi.
Here is one of my favorite summer looks, along with a couple of easy tips for pulling it together.
1 | A great alternative to comfortable layering with a maxi is to pull out your chambray top and wear it loosely over a maxi (as shown) or you can even button it up and belt it, or tie it at the bottom. Don’t forget a fun hat to complete the summer look!
2 | A jean jacket is the perfect addition to adding that extra easy something to a summer maxi dress. If you don’t have a jean jacket, try a cropped jacket or cardigan! Layer your maxi with your jean jacket, a fun statement necklace(s), and a dressy pair of flats, and your ready for that summer BBQ!
I’ve got some great summer tips coming your way, not to mention a fabulous summer style guide with 10 pages of summer tips/trends to try! Grab yours here at my blog, Art in the Find. It’s a style guide you don’t want to miss!
