I had an idea recently that I hope you’re all on board with. Obviously I’ve been blogging a TON about pregnancy lately, and while I’m sure some of you are sick of it, this blog is 100% based on what’s in my brain at the moment, and that mostly has to do with growing a person. (Have confidence: I am not planning to make this into a mommy/baby blog once Jack is born! Yes, I’ll share a bit, but I plan to be more private about his life than I’ve been about my pregnancy.)
Moving on…my brilliant idea for the summer…the Summer Motherhood Project. Here are the details…
What is the Summer Motherhood Project?
Well, it’s basically a linkup. The topic we’re covering? Anything and everything related to motherhood and babies: pregnancy, birth, challenges and joys of being a mom, miscarriage, infertility, pregnancy style, baby/kid style, why you don’t want to have kids at all, and the list goes on and on.
How do I participate?
1. Swing by this blog on Mondays to see the most recent linkup post.
2. Write your own post, using the suggestions above as a guideline.
3. To add your post to the linkup, follow the instructions at the bottom of each week’s post—essentially, click on the link below the post that says “add your link” and add in your post information.
4. When you share about your post on social media, use the hashtag #summermotherhoodproject :)
When does the linkup happen?
This series will last from Monday, June 16th through the end of July. Each Monday, there will be a new post up here on the blog, and for the sake of flexibility with your blog and schedule, you’ll have a chance to join in on it through the Sunday following.
Who can participate?
Anyone who has a blog and wants to share about motherhood/pregnancy/babies in some capacity! Regardless of what your blog is about or what you do for a living, you are invited to join in on this. I’d love you to participate, and will definitely be reading the posts from anyone who joins in on the linkup :)
If you tweet about this or post on Instagram, please use the hashtag #summermotherhoodproject to help spread the word. Also, feel free to add this button to your site. Can’t wait to get started!
Let’s hear it—who will be joining in next week?!?
