Through My Lens {April 2014}

This a series where I share snapshots from my daily life as captured through my iPhone. If you’re new to the series and would like to catch up (or just missed a few along the way), click here for past posts, and follow me on Instagram to keep up with my daily adventures.

It’s been a month of mixed emotions. There has been a birth and a death, moments of joy and moments of sorrow. All kinds of fears, and all kinds of excitement.

We found out on our 3-year anniversary (April 16th!) that we’re having a baby boy, who we’re naming Jack, and that has probably been the most exciting of all. I can’t believe it’s already May, and I’m one month closer to meeting my little guy. Pregnancy has been filled with all kinds of fear, but I also know that it’s an immense privilege and gift to carry a child, and I don’t want to take it for granted.

Overall, I’d say April was a busy month and a mostly good month filled with good food, friends, family and (finally) coffee…

    I love this post for so many reasons. A friend pointed me to a blog saying she thought you and I had a lot of similarities in how we write and our outlooks on life. Though it’s late in the game, congratulations on your pregnancy!

    Even though some people think I am crazy for taking photos all of the time, I think it will be a good and important thing for down the road. Little things that made us happy will be captured forever. And the little things are my favorite.

    I hope you get the chance to check out my blog and that you know you have a new, faithful reader :) I can’t wait to read more!
