You may recall my recent purchase of the most adorable Dutch-style bike. While I’m embarrassed to admit that I haven’t actually ridden it anywhere, I’m thrilled that it made its way into this shoot because it’s too cute to just sit in my garage. (One day I’ll give it a real cruise, I swear.)
It’s rather toasty here in San Diego this week and I’ve never been more thankful for air conditioner (well, except for that one summer when I lived in Texas). Temperatures are in the high 90s for the next few days by the coast, which is absolutely unheard of, and means it’s going to be scorching inland.
Since I don’t have any maternity jeans (yet), I’ve been wearing a lot of shorts lately, which is stretching me a bit since I really do hate shorts most of the time. But honestly, it’s much more about comfort than anything else, and when you want your legs to be free, a short dress—though adorable—isn’t always the most comfortable choice. I love these shorts because they look almost exactly like my normal jean shorts, so they’re easy to pair with what I have in my closet. Since it’s hot, I opted for a lightweight ruffly tank, but I especially love these shorts with a loose long-sleeved tee like the one I wore here.
