Sweater Weather

sweater-weather

While it’s not really that cold here in California, I am gearing up for a trip to Colorado (to see Erin and Dave, and also do happy hour with Lauren and Anne!!) so sweaters, boots and coats are on the brain. If I had to pick one sort of top to wear forever, it might be a sweater. I love how cozy and comfy they are, while also being casually chic—my favorite style combo.

I love simple looks made with quality materials and eye-catching little details, like stitching or a zipper. My personal favorite sweater of the moment? My black double-zip from J.Crew. Haven’t stopped wearing it since I opened it on Christmas morning!

Another thing I love about sweaters is the layering options. Of course you can totally wear them alone, but it’s fun to wear a thin tee underneath in case you go into a toasty coffee shop, or even a patterned button-down. Also, sweaters play very nicely with vests. Vest + sweater + jeans + boots—how easy is that? I love when getting ready is simple. These are the sweaters I absolutely adore right now:

01 // Grey Draped Neck Long Sleeved Loose Sweater
Perfect for cozy days and nights inside, looking out at the snow and cold, being really thankful you’re not out there in it.

02 // Baseball Sweater
A two-toned classic as a slub raglan sweater. Winter perfection for the cool-girl in all of us.

03 // Marled Contrast-Sleeve Sweater
The curved design of the colorblocking makes this cozy knit super flattering and feminine. Plus, I love the mix of cool and warm neutral tones.

04 // Colorblock Cableknit Sweater
This sweater has so much going on! Colorblocking (in red or navy), plus a smidgen of cableknit on top. Stunning, and super fun.

05 // Marled Drop-Shoulder Sweater
This fuzzy sweater is so, so classic—the kind that you wear until it has holes in it.

06 // Slub V-Neck Sweater
I love how cool and laid-back this sweater is. The neckline makes it easy to wear on its own, or layered over your favorite button-down.

What kinds of sweaters do you like to wear? Marled? Drop shoulder? Patterns?

I love the red and white colour block sweater! My favourite are drop shoulder sweaters. As you mentioned, I like to keep it super simple but classic too.
