Gift Ideas for Girlfriends

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, Christmas will be here before we know it! So I rounded up some fun gift ideas for the different kinds of friends (or sisters or moms!) each of us has in our lives to help get your gift-giving juices flowing. This also might be a great post to pass along to the guy in your life, just to give him a subtle hint of what you might be interested in receiving this holiday ;)

01 // For the friend who loves to entertain
This Mermaid Bottle Opener is so fun, don’t you think! It’s especially great if your friend has a love for the sea and all things nautical.

02 // For the friend who is always caffeinated
Treat your caffeine-loving friend to a pretty Lindsay Letters Be True Mug of her own to remind her daily to be true to who she is. Bonus idea: add a bag of her favorite coffee beans or a box of her favorite tea to round out the gift!

03 // For the friend who is too busy to blow dry
Help your busy friend tie her hair back in style with these adorable Multitude Hair Ties from Anthropologie. They come in tons of color palettes and are just plain pretty! (These also make excellent stocking stuffers.)

04 // For the friend with a lot of faith
The Dogeared Faith Necklace is such a sweet and delicate symbol of faith—perfect for those friends in your life you can always count on for prayer.

05 // For the friend who writes everything down
I don’t know about you, but I completely adore everything from Rifle Paper Co.—especially this Rifle Paper Co. Journal Set. Awesome for friends who make lots of lists or those who love to be reflective.

06 // For the friend who loves animals
Tiny Confessions is an endearing little illustrated book that is sure to have your pet-loving friends smiling.

07 // For the friend with a big heart
Give her a gift that gives back (and also happens to be really pretty and useful)! This Raven + Lily Gete Black and White Striped Scarf is an ultra-versatile accessory handmade by at-risk women living in Addis Ababa. Win-win.

08 // For the friend with a new living space
Nothing makes a home feel cozy and welcoming quite like the right scent. And I think we can all agree that Anthropologie sells that exact right scent in a jar (yep, I’m talking about the Capri Blue Mercury Glass Jar Candle).

09 // For the friend who loves to sparkle
This J.Crew Glitter Belt is sparkly and fun—and can add sparkle to her wardrobe all year round! Unsure which size to get? Go with the biggest one—she can always wrap it around itself (like this) if its too long.

10 // For the friend with really awesome hair
These pretty Coquette Clips are like jewelry for her hair. I especially love the feather one!

11 // For the friend who travels
This J.Crew Colorblock Luggage Tag makes it easy to spot her bag in a sea of black luggage. Though I’m partial to the mint color, it also comes in white black, red sand, citrus white and silver gold metallic.

12 // For the friend who always sends a note
How adorable is this Hello Darling Stationary set?!? Help keep your friend’s notecard pile stocked so she can send sweet notes to those she loves with style!

13 // For the friend who is chic
This Clare Vivier Tassel with Monogram turns a simple key ring into a chic accessory. Available as a plain tassel in a variety of colors, but even more special with the addition of her monogram.

14 // For the friend who just got married
Though you likely already sent a wedding gift, a Lindsay Letters Monogram Print with her new last initial is an extra little something you can treat her to this holiday season. (Another great monogram idea: a monogrammed mug from Anthropologie, in limited edition gold or classic black)

15 // For the friend who likes to be prepared
The Pinch Provisions for J.Crew Miniemergency Kit is a tiny bundle of preparedness full of 21 must-haves, including a flip-open mirror. I might even gift this to myself this season, just to to be prepared for whatever life brings in the new year :)

I love the Rifle Paper Co. journals. Bought them last Spring for sermon notes and I am almost through the lot of them! Definitely looking into the Lindsay Letters items (the Be Creative mug and the canvas boards, and the stamps…I am head over heels keen on them!)

Natalie, I absolutely love this. Please keep these coming, because I’m likely going to use every single idea. However—I’d love to see a list that’s on the cheaper side. I want to get all of my friends gifts, but if I spend 60-80 dollars on every single one, I’m going to be broke for all of 2014. haha. Do you have any ideas that fall more into the 20 dollar range?
