Get The Look: Lace + Animal Print

This scarf is one of my favorites. My mom and I actually both own it—we found it at a flea market outside of Palm Springs one weekend and both fell in love with it, agreeing to never wear it at the same time. It plays into the animal print trend, but with a little twist thanks to the uncommon giraffe print. And since it’s brown and white, it goes with nearly everything I own.

I put together this look earlier this week, for dinner with a few of our friends. This felt like just the right mix of casual and dressy, plus it was super comfortable thanks to the loose lace top and ultra-stretchy jeans. It’s like a dressier version of jeans and a t-shirt.

I love this! I am such a thrifter at heart, and really desire to buy more second hand than I do now. My dress to prom was found at a consignment shop in Los Angeles and last year my halloween costume “raggedy anne” was all thanks to thrifting! When I have the time to dig in and look for treasures, thrifting is so what I prefer–because it is so individualized and you find things no one else would have. Skirts, coats, and jewelry are what I often find as hidden gems when thrifting. :)

I actually thought of you when I wrote the question on this post, haha. In my mind, you are the queen of thrifting! You always post great finds on your Instagram, and I’m super excited about your new WEAR series on your blog. Thrifting isn’t usually my first instinct (I confess: I love new things), but I’d love to learn how to embrace it more!

Yay! I’m so glad you think of me when you think of thrifting! I’d love to be associated with thrifted style, can’t wait to share with you and hopefully in turn you’ll share more second hand clothing finds too :)

Cute look!! I must admit, I shy away from thrifting… I am paranoid about the cleanliness (which is stupid, but I just feel weird about it) or lack thereof.

Those skinnies look like a great fit – I’m tempted to try some on. I had written American Eagle off after high school because I felt like they didn’t accommodate my, um, curves… but you’ve sparked my curiosity!!

Oh, you totally must try them! The jeggings are very curve accommodating and comfortable, too :) Also, not expensive at all, which is a major plus when purchasing denim!
