Borton Family Vacation

This weekend we’re away once again, this time enjoying a restful weekend with the Borton side of the family. That includes Brian’s mom Diane, and her husband James, as well as Brian’s siblings—Drew and Cathy—Drew’s wife Kristin, our nieces Jenna and Hannah, and nephew Grant. It’ll be a fun time to catch up and connect, and also our first chance to meet Hannah, who is the newest addition to the Borton clan.

This trip is a bi-annual tradition—we switch off every other year spending “Thanksmas” (our combination of Thanksgiving and Christmas in one weekend) together one year, then this trip the next year, and so on. It’s a funny system, but we love it. It keeps things fresh, and gives Drew and Kristin a break from hosting Thanksgiving at their house in Ohio—especially now that they have three kids!

Here are a few photos from our last trip to Galveston together, two years ago…

Does your family take annual or semi-regular vacations together? Where do you go? What do you do together?

Photos taken by various members of the Borton family (mostly Cathy, I believe!)
