Though I am quite a modern girl with my love for blogging, social media, and all-things technology, over the years I’ve learned that there is definitely an “old soul” somewhere inside of me. Perhaps it’s due to me being an only child and spending so much time with adults when I was younger. Or maybe this is just an innate part of who I am. Regardless, in addition to my affections for tea and reading and early bedtimes, I have a deep love for old hymns.
How Great Thou Art is one of my all-time favorites. Based on a Swedish poem by Carl Gustav Boberg, the hymn was written in 1885 and has stood the test of time. I love almost any version of it, however this bluegrass version by Huckleberry Flint really captured my heart when I heard it for the first time this past week. I hope you like it, too!
What old music are you a fan of? What music makes your soul feel rested?
