Non-Fiction Book Club: June Pick

June is almost here, and you know what that means—time to announce the next book club pick! As you may already know (and as the title of this post suggests), this book club is strictly non-fiction now. This month, we read Bread & Wine by Shauna Niequist, and I loved every page of it. After reading a sample of the book I’ve picked for June, I’m thinking I might feel the same way about our next read!

For June, we’ll be reading A Dog Named Slugger by Leigh Brill. A true story about a service dog who changed the life of the author, who lives with cerebral palsy. I anticipate this memoir being a touching story for all dog-lovers and for anyone who struggles with a physical disability or knows someone who does. I hope you’ll join me in reading what I trust will be a very inspiring story! If you’re reading along this month, please join the Facebook event page to interact with one another—sharing thoughts, questions, favorite quotes, etc.—over the course of your reading :)

A Dog Named Slugger is available through Amazon in Kindle edition, paperback and in large print hardcover for those who like bigger text :)

Will you be reading along this month?
