I have discovered the perfect recipe for margaritas—it’s super easy, and I’m going to share it with you today!
The Perfect Scratch Margarita
From Vegan Cooking For Carnivores
Kosher salt, as needed
Lime wedges for wetting the glasses, and for garnish
Ice for serving
4 ounces good tequila
3 ounces Contreau (or triple sec)
3 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4-5 limes)
2 tablespoons agave nectar
Place a small mound of kosher salt on a plate and wet the edges of two glasses with a lime wedge. Roll the wet end of the glasses in salt and fill them with ice. Combine all the remaining ingredients in a cocktail shaker with a small amount of ice, shake, and pour into the prepared glasses. Garnish with a lime wedge. (Note: we don’t have a shaker, so we just measure everything out and mix it in a liquid measuring cup so it’s easy to pour once it’s mixed.)
