book club: january pick

Well, dear readers, I’ve decided to start a book club, and I’d really like it if all of you would join! It’s not a traditional book club like the kind where we switch off meeting at each other’s houses and bring snacks (though I wish it were!). Instead, it’s a virtual book club where we all will read the same book at the same time, discussing it via social media and even here on the blog so that we can all feel a little closer to one another.

What do you think—are you in?

January Pick // The Great Gatsby

Though I read this book in high school (and loved it), I have nearly forgotten the plot completely. With the movie coming out in May this year, I thought it might be fun for us to read it together and rediscover this classic tale of excess in America during the roaring 1920s.

I plan to create a little virtual discussion of some kind (if you like the idea) at the end of the month, so let’s finish by January 30th. Sound good?

Will you be joining this low-stress, no obligation book club this month? If so, leave me a comment below (and join the FB event page!)…

P.S. Order the paperback copy here, or start now by downloading the Kindle version. Happy reading!!

Definitely. With the new movie coming out and the fact that I haven’t read it since high school, it was already on my list of books to read. I’m in!
